When I first introduced ALEKS to my 8th grade classroom in 2014, I was working with students who had all but given up on math. They had gaps in their foundational knowledge, were relying on confusing tricks, and felt lost in material they weren’t ready for.

But after just one week with ALEKS, everything changed. Students began asking, “Why isn’t everyone using this?”
They finally felt successful—because they were learning at their own pace, working on topics they were ready to understand.

Since then, I’ve used ALEKS to help hundreds of students rebuild their confidence and truly enjoy learning math again.

What Is ALEKS?

ALEKS (Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces) is a web-based, AI-powered math program for students in grades 3–12, and ALEKS Adventure is for students in grades K-3..

Using adaptive questioning, ALEKS quickly identifies what a student already knows and what they’re ready to learn next. Then it creates a personalized learning path—focusing only on topics the student is ready to learn.
